October is one of my favorite times of year in Fishers. The leaves are changing, football is in full swing, calendars are busy, and before we know it, winter will be here. It’s also a good time for homeowners to tackle a few seasonal projects—cleaning gutters, checking the roof, and getting the house ready for colder weather. I’m originally from Goshen in Northern Indiana and have proudly called Fishers home since 2013. I became a State Farm agent in 2006 after beginning my career as a television reporter. It might seem like an unusual career change, but the two have more in common than you might think: both start with asking good questions, listening carefully, and understanding someone’s story.

That philosophy still guides our agency today. Every customer and every family has a different story, and insurance shouldn’t be one-size-fits-all. Our team takes the time to understand what’s important to you, identify potential gaps, and explain your options so you can decide what protection makes sense for your family. We want insurance to feel less complicated—not more complicated.

Being a local State Farm agent also means being part of the community we serve. When I’m not in the office, you might find me coaching one of my kids’ teams, umpiring high school softball, substitute teaching, or driving around town in our branded vehicle affectionately known as State Farm Force One.

I previously served on the Hamilton Southeastern School Board, and supporting local students and organizations such as Fishers Youth Initiative (FYI) and the Hamilton Southeastern Education Foundation (HSEF) continues to be important to me. I’m also a member of the session at our local church—and if you ask me which one, we’d love to have you visit.
